Babcock football tournament raises over £500 for Devon Mind!

We would like to extend a huge thank-you to the team at Babcock who were involved in the fundraising football event last month. During Mental Health Awareness Week, more than 20 teams across various departments and projects across Babcock’s Devonport facility, took part in the tournament to raise vital awareness and funds for our mental health support services.

Organised by Shaun Clift, the football tournament featured 21 teams, with close to 150 Babcock colleagues competing, and together raising an impressive £512 on the day. The event brought together dozens of colleagues to enjoy the game, socialise, and connect with others across different working teams. Huge congratulations to the winners, after several rounds, the Learning from Experience (LFE) team led by Sam Field, beating the Fleet Time Commission Group in the final.

It really is no exaggeration to say that Devon Mind could not provide the services we do without the support of some amazing fundraisers — many thanks to Shaun Clift and all the team at Babcock for a wonderful event.
— Olivia Craig, Devon Mind CEO
