Donate Your Last Hour of Pay
Make your last hour of work before Christmas count this year!
An easy way to make a small contribution this Christmas
Let’s be honest: Traditionally, the last hour of work before the Christmas break is notoriously unproductive. Chocolates in the office, dancing to festive music, opening Secret Santa gifts — it’s easy to get in the festive spirit just a little early.
The cost-of-living crisis means that we wouldn’t feel comfortable asking you to donate to a big fundraiser this Christmas. But if you are able to spare anything, why not donate the equivalent of one hour’s pay to your local mental health charity?
How does it work?
1. Work out your hourly pay
Using our handy calculator below, simply enter your annual salary and the number of hours you work a week, click the ‘Calculate’ button, and we’ll tell you roughly how much you are paid per hour.
2. Make your donation
Once you know your hourly pay, you can make your donation below. We’ve included some pre-set options for a few different salaries on full-time hours, but just click ‘Other’ to enter a custom amount.
3. Enjoy your Christmas!

To calculate your approximate rate of hourly pay, simply enter your annual salary in the first box, then your weekly hours in the second box (e.g. 37.5 if you work full-time), then click the calculate button! Your hourly pay will then be returned.

How else can I donate?
If you do not want to donate online, you can do so using any of the following alternative methods:
Donate by text
If you would like to make a one-off donation, simply text DEVONMIND to 70450 to donate £5. Texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message.
To make a regular monthly donation of £5, text DEVONMINDREG to 70450. Each text costs £5 plus one standard rate message.
To donate a different amount, state the amount after the word DEVONMIND to donate. For example, text DEVONMIND 10 to 70450 to donate £10.
Donate by bank transfer
If you’d like to mak e a direct bank transfer and ensure every penny of your donation goes directly to us, just contact us and we'll send you our bank details.
Don't forget to put your name on the transfer as a payment reference so we know who the generous contribution has come from and can say thanks!
