‘Home This Christmas’ music video released!

It’s the day we’ve been waiting for since October: the music video for Riley Jayne’s ‘Home This Christmas’ is out now!

The video was filmed and edited free of charge by Robbie Hill of Cornwall-based production company Hill Tribe Media, and also features a range of photos and video clips from local residents. RHS Garden Rosemoor kindly donated their facilities to make the perfect setting for Riley’s footage!

‘Home This Christmas’ is being released to raise money for both Devon Mind and Cornwall Mind. Riley Jayne wrote the song during a stay in a mental health hospital, where she found herself staring out of a window, waiting for a visit and wondering if she would be home for the holidays. The song took on extra meaning and resonance in 2020, thanks to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which threw family Christmas gatherings into serious doubt.

More than £1,800 was raised before the video was even released, with more donations coming in every single day.

“The music video turned out even better than our wildest dreams,” said André Pusey, Devon Mind’s Marketing & Fundraising Officer. “We’re so grateful and proud of Riley Jayne for choosing to donate her incredible song to help raise money for two local mental health charities, and we just know that the video is going to speak to so many people during this incredibly tough year. A massive thanks also to Hill Tribe and RHS Garden Rosemoor for their contributions!”
