Newly revamped Mental Health First Aid course running in January

The creator of the popular Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, has recently introduced a new curriculum for its flagship course. Here at Devon Mind, our accredited instructors will be delivering the newly revamped course starting in January 2023, and we have the first set of dates live now!

Start the new year off by training to become an official, accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) and arming yourself with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support your friends, family, and workmates with their mental health and wellbeing. The relaunched flagship MHFA course also now provides those who complete the programme with a range of exclusive benefits delivered through the MHFAider Support App®, including extra training resources and ongoing learning opportunities, self-care resources, 24/7 text support, and access to regular online events.

Devon Mind’s first public MHFA course with the new curriculum will be delivered over the following four half-day online sessions:

  • Session 1: Thursday 12th January 2023, 9:30am – 1:00pm

  • Session 2: Monday 16th January 2023, 9:15am – 1:00pm

  • Session 3: Wednesday 18th January 2023, 9:15am – 1:00pm

  • Session 4: Monday 23rd January 2023, 9:30am – 12:30pm

The course, which is valued by MHFA England at a cost of £325, will be delivered for just £95 per person. There are limited spaces available, so if you want to attend then we recommend acting quickly! More public dates will be added periodically throughout the year.

MHFA has been our most popular mental health training course for many years, with hundreds completing the accredited programme with us every year. Our experienced trainers have been praised consistently by attendees, with participants providing an average rating of 9.53 out of 10 since the beginning of 2021. Over 90% of people have also reported that they would recommend the course to someone else.

We also deliver bespoke training packages to local organisations. If this is of interest to you, please contact our Training team and let us know about your training needs. You can check out some of the main courses we run on the Training section of our website.
